Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Travellers Inn is a small hotel that has been focused on sustainable usage of water and electricity in the area.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
To conserve water and electricity, Travellers Inn has developed a system of storage and utilization of water. For electricity, they shut down all the electrical appliances like water heaters and lights through their main switch system to conserve electricity once the travelers leave for sightseeing and out of their rooms for a longer period of time. Heaters are turned on only during the morning and evening (or on request) to save energy.
