Travellers Inn

Address: Dr. Zakir Hussain Road, Above Telephone Exchange (near TV Tower), Darjeeling view map

Travelers Inn is set up just far enough from the maddening crowd in Zakir Hussain Road and is an exclusive hotel cum restaurant. It is a small hotel with a lot of personal service and hospitality. The inn is run by limited number of efficient staff who will go out of the way to keep travelers feel at ease. It is bound to make travelers stay comfortable and pleasurable. It has a panoramic view of the Darjeeling town and a popular view of the famous Mt. Kanchenjunga and the Himalayan mountain range.

Darjeeling's popularly known rendezvous The Chowrasta & the Mall Road is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Other shopping complexes, the Taxi & Bus stand, and Railway Station are also within walking distance from the hotel.

Sajda is a young enthusiastic lady who looks after everything in the hotel along with her staff. She is friendly and accommodating to the request of the passengers.

Caring for Destination
This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.

Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:

Travellers Inn is a small hotel that has been focused on sustainable usage of water and electricity in the area.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

To conserve water and electricity, Travellers Inn has developed a system of storage and utilization of water. For electricity, they shut down all the electrical appliances like water heaters and lights through their main switch system to conserve electricity once the travelers leave for sightseeing and out of their rooms for a longer period of time. Heaters are turned on only during the morning and evening (or on request) to save energy.
