The home-stay is part of the Small Farmer's Collective known as Mineral Spring Sanjukta Vikas Sanstha, which is an Organic and Fair Trade Certified Small Farmers' Collective producing agricultural & plantation crops such as Tea, Ginger, Cardamom, Turmeric, Manderine and other seasonal vegetables.
Daju means "elder brother", the host is popularly known as Jangbeer Daju and he is well known in the area. He is a farmer by profession and grows an abundance of oranges, ginger, candamon, and other fruits and veggies.

Jangbeer Daju Homestay is a part of the entire community development project initiated by Tathagata Journeys - Jangbeer Daju is actively engaged in promoting sustainable rural tourism in the area, setting of self-help groups of people who want to convert their homes to home-stay for travelers. He is also completely certified Organic Farmer.
